Kalapa Annual Horse Sports

CQP is proud to support the Kalapa Annual Horse Sports, a long-standing community event raising funds for the Kalapa Hall and Sports Committee. Running since the 1920s, the event brings together riders of all ages for flag races, barrel races, and more, with families competing alongside schoolmates, parents, and grandparents.

Locals and visitors from as far as Mackay and Blackwater gather for a fun-filled day of competition, a BBQ fundraiser, and a lunchtime auction. With low entry fees and free camping facilities, it’s a true community celebration.
